Description: Five birch leaf benches sit quietly around Bracknell High Street with winding brass veins and complimenting solid brass insects. In two parts, these sculptures have varying insects that lie on the North or the South of Bracknell in its 9 Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI’s). The leaves are their own playground, with their flowing brass veins and playful insects, which communicate learning and a topic of conversation. Commissioned by Art Management, ‘Birch Leaf Benches’ is a part of the Public Art Strategy for Bracknell Town Centre and compliments various work by Lemon that can be seen throughout the High Street.
