Description: Tucked into one corner of Edmunds Green sits a carved bench from a tree that was cut down in the area. The bench has been carved and smoothed from a single piece of wood with a deep seat and a high back. One end runs off into the surrounding grass with the other enclosing the bench space. On this end, a very large beetle has been carved out from the surface, giving large amounts of detail to its shell and legs. At over two feet, this beetle carving comes as a bit of a shock to those who aren’t expecting it but is also a wonderful insight into the creatures that live around the area.
