Description: This stone memorial is made up of a darker base, inscribed with the words ‘SLOUGH’S MEMORIAL TO THE FALLEN’. Atop this is a white marble rounded sculpture that shows three tips of varying heights. This sculpture sits above someone’s average height so that all could see it down the high street. Slough’s mayor, Councillor Shafiq Chaudhry, unveiled the memorial in August 2014 and took centre stage at a candlelit vigil held. It is a testament to all those who have fallen, in WWI and since.
