Description: This ‘Story-Telling Throne’ was created by Greenspace Designs Ltd and sponsored by the Winkfield Parish Council, BTC, and Bracknell Forest Council. It is an interactive sculpture that comprises of a throne carved out of the tall stump of an old tree. When sat on the throne, you sit above everyone else in the area and you would be able to see the tops of their heads. Because the throne seat is so high up, three steps have also been carved from the tree stump to allow all to sit atop the mighty tree. At the opposite side of the path is a smaller block which could be used as a small stall. On three of the sides, there are representations of those who designed and sponsored this tree carving into the interactive sculpture. Even further away, another tree has been carved with a rectangular hole through the centre. This hole points directly towards the throne and creates a natural frame, or doorway, into the space that has been provided for all who wish to listen to the stories told on the throne.
